Ingredients
- 10 cups water or red wine
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 Tbs whole cloves
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 16 oz blackberry jam
Optional
- 1 mint leaf
- 2 dried chili peppers

Directions
- In a medium sauce pan, combine all the ingredients.
- Slowly bring mixture to boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. When honey and jam are completely dissolved remove from heat.
- Let the Sbiten cool, then strain through cheesecloth, then transfer to airtight container.
- Refrigerate and reheat for serving.
